“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” This is the oath of enlistment that every person joining the military states. It’s pretty blunt and point, no gray areas, no wasted words. If you think about it, it’s does exactly what it should do, get straight to the point. That is envery purpose of our military. The United States military is and always will bet the best military in the world. That is, as long as it sticks to its misssion, and doesn’t get caught in the political correctness trap.
July 26th 2017 President Donald Trump tweeted that the United States government will not accept any transgender persons in the military. Needless to say, those who are drooling over every word President Trump says, did not hesitate to clutch their pearls and try to convince everybody around them that President Trump is a monster. Well let’s look a little farther into his statement, he said “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwealming victory.” I don’t know anybody who disagree with this, but the question is, why would transgenders change this? They wouldn’t, the media would. The military needs to be free from distraction and politics. There is no time for political correctness and making sure everybody gets a trophy for participating. The distractions would start from day one, what boot camp do they go to? Take a male, we will call him Bob, who is “transforming” into a female for example. The prefix “trans” means the end result haven’t taken place yet so, what boot camp does Bob go to? Does he go to the male boot camp even though he thinks he is a female? Or would he go to the female boot camp? Well Bob would like this option better but the already awkward showers would become really awkward when the females notice that Bob has a third leg. Or do you take the third option and make boot camp gender neutral? Bad idea, part of boot camp is to remove the sexual tension of every day life so the recruits can focus on the mission. See, there is no way around somebody having an issue with all three options. This is the very point that President Trump was talking about, but it goes a lot further than that, why does our society seem to bend over backwards for the super minority just to make them feel comfortable? And why is it ok to make the majority uncomfortable so the minority can feel comfortable? Where is the equality in that?
Let’s go a little farther into President Trumps tweet, he continued to say “…cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs..” how much does one cost you might ask, according to the “Transgender Center of Philadelphia” the surgery cost for surgery would be around $20,000, and the total time being on limited duty would be 6-8 weeks. Now for those of you who don’t know, while in the military your medical costs are covered, so why should the taxpayers pay for this? Furthermore let’s say our buddy Bob did make it through boot camp, he is now assigned to his unit, when is it appropriate for him to get surgery? What if his unit gets deployed post surgery but he is still on light duty? Or what if Bob found out that he was going to get deployed, would the military then have the ability to stop his surgery until after his deployment? You see there are way too many distractions and questions The military, must remain clear headed and free from this nonsense. We do not have a military branch of the United States government to enforce political correctness, at least not yet.
